Stir Fry – Tamari Sauce

A quick Stir Fry ideal with Beef Mince / Chicken or just loaded with Veg.

Ingredients

Protein / Veg

  • 250g beef mince / chicken or extra veg
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 red capsicum (sliced)
  • 1 cup Broccoli (into small segments)

Optional / Replacements

  • Spring Onion
  • Sugar Snap Peas
  • Carrots (diced or julienned)
  • Mushrooms

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup Tamari Sauce
  • 2 TBSP Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 2 TBSP Coconut Sugar (packed)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 TBSP Ginger (freshly grated)
  • 1 Tsp Sesame Oil

Method

  1. Put a large pot of water on to boil for the noodles / pasta.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together tamari, rice wine vinegar, coconut sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil and chilli, if using; set aside.
  3. Dice onion, and any other vegetables / protein you are using.
  4. Heat up large skillet or wok on low heat, until a non-stick is achieved (mercury test for stainless steel). Water should be boiling at this point – cook noodles / pasta.
  5. Add coconut oil to skillet / wok, throw in onion and protein of choice stirring constantly, about 3-5 minutes. If using mince, make sure to break it all up. Cook away excess fat.
  6. Stir in veg. Cook, stirring frequently, until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Stir in noodles / pasta and Tamari sauce mixture until well combined, about 2-3 minutes.

Serve immediately, garnished with spring onion, if desired.
