Tuna Mornay

Ingredients

Bake Mix

  • 1 Large Onion (diced)
  • 1 Large Can of Tuna
  • 1/2 – 1 Cup of Organic Frozen Corn
  • Handful of broccoli
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Small handful of breadcrumbs
  • 2 Large Handfuls of Spiral Pasta

Optional / Replacements

  • Capsicum
  • Other vegies

White Sauce

  • 1 Cup Butter
  • Flour
  • Milk

Bake Topping

  • Handfuls of Tasty Cheese (shredded)
  • Handful of Breadcrumbs

Method

  1. While Pasta is cooking to al dente… Pre-heat oven on 180C
  2. Sautee the onions until goldenĀ 
  3. In a large bowl mix…Tuna, Corn, Broccoli pieces, small handful of breadcrumbs / cheese, and any other vegies you are using. Add onions.
  4. Make white sauce: Melt butter in pot, stir in flour until doughy. Remove from heat, and add milk until Creamy. Add to Mixing Bowl.
  5. Add Pasta to Bowl and combine all ingredients. Season well. Place in oven-proof baking dish and pat down.
  6. Sprinkle the top with shredded cheese and then a light covering of breadcrumbs over the top.
  7. Bake for around 25 minutes or until golden brown on top. Let cool slightly for a crispy crust.
